Neither my spedometer or odometer work so obviously i have no idea how fast i am going or how far i have travelled. Is this just a fuse issue or is there something more wrong.

Don’t drive it…

Vehicle speed sensor or VSS at the tail housing of the transmission,driver side.
Checkyour cable connection at the transmission or the wiring at the dash if its a digital diplay.
auto or manual trans??
auto trans ,,will affect your shifting ,the problem, VSS
shifting ok ,possibly,your speedometer assy.
the best thing to do is have it scan by the dealer ,they will tell you whats wrong then you could fix it your self, it will eliminate guessing
