It has 171,000 miles on it so its aging. Should i be using the best gas or can i be well off with regular gas? I plan on letting it go in about 1 year but still i do want to take care of it…
right now im putting a tank of premium about every 4-5 gas fill ups. Should i ALWAYS put premium on it or maybe put premium every other gas fill? thanks guys
Despite the age of your truck, putting premium in your 01 F150 is really quite a waste. It won’t do anything significant to maintaining your truck. Save your money!
There is no reason to use premium on that vehicle.
87 octane is the recommended and required fuel for that vehicle, it does not benefit in any way from using premium fuel. You are wasting your money. No you should not be using premium fuel in your 2001 F-150.
