GM and Ford have been putting out nothing but garbage for the last 35 years. Let them fold. The union and management has ruined what was at one time a viable commodity. Why throw money down a rat hole?

Can’t argue with that. I had the misfortune to buy my wife a Ford Focus.
they deserve to go under. when my mechanic tried to repair my “GM certified” used chevy, the stock parts wouldn’t even fit. he says the original differential was replaced with one from the junkyard. they told me to email the CEO of GM with my problem. thanks for the help GM.
I will never ever buy an american car for the rest of my life. ever.
we should bail out a company that does business like this? please.
exactly. why do you think overseas auto companies would never set up in the united states? because the unions will most likely do to them as they did to gm chrysler and ford – bankrupt them.
Let ‘em go under.
If I need a new car I can always find another manufacturer and I will probably get a better product.
It is madness to bail out a company that can’t fix its own problems. It is like giving transfusions to a patient, but doing nothing to stop the bleeding. And giving the bill to the taxpayers.
Since the US Auto makers have followed the japanese lead in their current slip/slap toss on some junk manufacturing processes, we no longer are able to buy an American made vehicle. Now we have a inbred mismatch of parts that require a blueprint to determine what parts can replace what, and where does it go mentality.
I think GM can bail themselves out by chopping about 3 billion dollars off their CEO’s salary, and 4 Billion off his yearly bonus package. If that doesn’t help enough bring their workers back into the $40,000 to $50,000 a year bracket, THEN put the price of a new car down around $8,000 …. Oh, and shoot the Credit department….make the buyer provide his own bank loan.
I hear you brother, I to have not bought their products for over 40 years.
I agree, no money until both Management and the UAW change their ways. I have bought my last car made by the Big 3, even after they claimed that their quality got better if all their cars are like my GM made car then they are still junk. Why give them more money to keep doing the same thing.
With the Big 3 U.S. Automakers circling the drain, here are 10 solutions to the current crisis and none of them involve sticking your head between your legs and kissing your rear goodbye.
