may be it’s your fuel pump or filter have them checked out
Remove the glow plugs. Attach the wire to one and turn on the ignition. Does it get hot? If yes, then you have a fuel delivery problem. If not then you need to replace the glow plug relay.
check the air filter and the fuel filter
sell that junk and buy a chevrolet
I have almost the identical truck.I had this problem when I 1st bought it.The 2 most common things are GPR (glow plug relay) failure and the timing sensor.( I was told to keep a spare timing sensor in my glove box). The easiest way to see if it’s the GPR is to plug the truck in even in the summer If it starts or almost starts then the GPR is probably the cause. Although it could be glow plugs the truck would still start if even 2-3 out of 8 work. The GPR is sitting on top of the motor on passenger side under the plastic cowl it has approx.4 wires attached. The timing sensor is also highly suspect as it can fail with no warning ,this sensor is on the front of the engine pass. side behind the fan. If the truck is even 1-2 qts low on oil it may not start because oil is used to power the injectors so check that 1st. 1 last possible simple fix is to check the40amp maxi fuse under the hood (Ithink it’s #
a common problem in these trucks is the fuel heater can short out and when this fuse blows you’ll never start the truck as it controls power to the fuel ,and computer system. You should probably join ford truck enthusiasts online as you can find almost any answer about this excellent truck.
glo plugs maybe out. if it is cold turn key forward until WAIT TO START goes off about 5 times and crank, do repeatedly, maybe a little starting fluid in the air cleaner. it should start
