Will I regret it and wish I would have paid a pro? Any tips on doing it, costs and advice is appreciated.

IF you’ve never did it before let a pro do it now.
Nooooooooo!!!!!!! Go pro!!! DIY tinting always looks amateur!!!
yes but not 2 much or the cops will pull u over
No
You will wind up with air bubbles and it will end up looking terrible.
let the pros do it. you might get the glass smuged, or it’ll bubble up if not done properly. it won’t cost that much. it depends on what tint you’ll like to get.
Have a look here , and see if this helps,http://www.tintdude.com/
As you well know, tinted windows are nothing more than a film covering regular windows. the problem is that the film is difficult to handle and a professional bubble-free application requires a pro. I wouldn’t attempt to do it on my own.
nope. pay a pro. it’s not an easy thing to do and make look good.
no its prob. like fake tan you can prob. make it all uneven waste of money and really noticeable so you go somewhere to get the tan done i guess like your car windows lol
xo
You can certainly try it if you wish but I’ve seen some home-tinting jobs gone horribly wrong ( air bubbles being the worst mistake ). Unless you have done it before, I wouldn’t attempt it but it is up to you.
Of course you can always buy a little bit of extra film and see if a junk yard will let you go in and tint a window or two just for you to practise on.
It is so cheap to have done now don’t waste your time or money doing it yourself. Unless you really know what you are doing. I don’t know where your from so I couldn’t tell you how much it costs.
It is such a difficult thing to get right and when it starts to bubble or peel you are gonna be mad as heck. Just get some type of warranty so you can go back with any complaints. Just make sure it covers everything. People who modify cars tend to try to get you how ever they can!
Hi … I was thinking of doing it myself as well … to save the cost. However, if you have ever seen tinted windows with bubbles in them, I can guarantee you it was a do-it-yourself job.
Its pretty much impossible to get it done just the like pros do it. The bubbles may not show up immediately, giving you a false sence of accomplishment … but they WILL come, sooner rather than later.
I’ve had my professionaly done tints now for about 6 years and there is not a single blemish or bubble …
So, yes, cost is a factor ($150-$300) but would you rather drive around your pride a joy looking like its just got out of bed, hasn’t shaved, or combed its hair … or would you rather it looks like a million bucks?
You’ll need to compare the cost to the look … bubbles look hokey to me … go pro!
Go with a pro and this time of yr you should be able to find discounts on tinting.
Hope this helps and best of luck
I tint windows for a living man… I can tint your entire truck in a lil over an hour… and make it look great… you can do it yourself in a few hours and make it look… not so great… the decision is really yours… you’ll spend $40 on tint at walmart… thats going to fade in 2 years and turn purple or go pro and get a lifetime warranty… I would go with a pro man… those trucks are not easy to keep a clean tint job…
